Tom smiled as Black settled into his room - a place he'd need to get used to. Tom planned on locking the door much of the time, not prepared to trust Black with full access to the hospital. No, it had taken him long enough to trust Green - Green, his perfect daughter. To trust Black, who had already tried to kill him? Without supervision, the boy would need to stay locked up. It worked out that Tom could call it his punishment - and Black would of course accept. "I should hope not," He responded. But for every ten disappointments he needed for Black, there was also a single ounce of positivity required. And so he approached Black and took him into his arms in a fatherly hug. He let the moment linger, knowing full well what this would do for the implant in Black's head, particularly at its freshest. It would be as if Black had walked through a sewer, and Tom was a five star restaurant. His response would have been positive before - but now it would be something worth dying for. He pulled away from the hug and offered Black's shoulder a small squeeze as if to say 'goodnight', and before Black could comprehend enough to respond, the door to the room clanged shut, and the lock slid into place. Tom listened for a moment to see if he could hear any fear, or protestations. When he heard none - or perhaps, when he refused to listen to none - he turned to his study and retrieved a folder, which he took to Green's room. He slid her small chair closer to her bed, and relaxed into the file. While he couldn't quite explain what had driven him to do this, he would claim that it was another matter of conditioning. Had Black's magic done anything to damage Green, his obvious concern could force her to accept him with or without a working implant. The truth may have been more that he was concerned about her.
