Rolfe's laugh was surprisingly calming. Sure, the smile on his face looked like he was hungry for something to eat, but in sharp contrast to Marie's glare, it made this entire situation seem much less intimidating to Relos. Hopefully Rolfe was someone willing to take this in stride. Not shirking the responsibilities of this investigation, but not demanding too much from Relos either.
Of course, a gnome, Fenna, kept the focus on how serious this mission was. At first he hoped that Fenna was referring to Senator Lirrae, but her repetition of "interesting" suggested something more concerning. If they already had a lead, that could give them some direction. As much as Relos understood the benefits of training his combat skills, it would be worthless if he had no investigation to really pursue and possibly endanger himself in. "Anyone we could reach out to?" he asked Fenna. While this team seemed like enough, Relos was a bit curious if their team could coordinate with anyone else on investigating Telon. Yes, Woodrow said it had to be him, but he still felt like a guppy among sharks. It wouldn't be too outlandish to consider more help, maybe some that Woodrow hadn't considered.
He didn't realize that his hands were still clutching the Seer's charm.

[attr="class","mwoody5"] Fenna's expression contorted into one of exaggerated thought, a finger tapping upon her chin as she considered the question. Eventually, she shook her head, looking to Marie.
"Not yet," Relos' guide, Marie, nodded, "But Fenna is keeping an eye on them. If they seem to know something worthwhile, we can attempt to communicate, or interrogate. Either way, we'll know more about them than they will about us - which is what we should strive for. Perhaps, Fenna, you can put together a report for Relos. Ensure he can familiarize himself with the investigation to this point."
"Aye-aye, Marie! I'll have it on your desk by morning, Mr. Relos," Fenna winked and gave a little bow, the piles of parchment Marie had settled in her hands tumbling back down. Marie's eyes squinted somewhat in annoyance, but she said nothing as Fenna went back off towards her little working space, tugging along the trails of papyrus with her. "Fenna is our surveillance expert. She's a genius, despite... How she portrays herself."

Relos winced at Marie's suggestion to interrogate. He would have preferred communication, especially if the SSPB had the advantage of knowing more about anyone else interested in the Telon case. It seemed like Marie was taking outside interest in this case as a sign of competition. As much as Relos was hoping that they could gain allies in this case, he doubt that it would sit well with Marie. Surely the Bureau understood that there could be advantage in numbers? Unless that would draw too much attention to themselves. Relos pushed the thought aside, otherwise he was going to dwell on it too much.
Relos couldn't help but chuckle as Fenna dropped her papers. If nothing else, it made Relos feel that he wasn't the only one who wasn't used to this job just yet. Still, this was someone he was going to defer to, if she was to be keeping an eye on those other interested parties. "I just hope her report is all in one piece," he joked to Marie as Fenna scurried away.
After an awkward silence, he added, "So… how long have you guys been with the Bureau?" As new as he was, he didn't know just how much experience everyone else had. What was the difference between himself and them? Was it something he could live up to?

[attr="class","mwoody5"] Marie didn't laugh at Relos' joke, instead sending him a sidelong glance. She let the silence sit for a moment as she continued to move Relos through the warehouse, until he filled it with something more in her interest.
"Nearly a decade. I'm the senior agent here... But not the lead. Remember that," Marie turned to Relos, placing a hand on either shoulder to look him firmly in the eyes, "This is your operation, Relos, not a Bureau one. We're the tools here for you to use, expert minds to help you where you need it. For you to learn from."
"Think of Lord Woodrow as a private financier," A silky voice continued. From behind the two of them was revealed a drow woman draped in black silks from head to ankle, her feet lacking any shoes or coverings. The close shave at her scalp grew clearer as she stepped in within striking distance to Relos, "He's not using any Bureau funds for this, it's all personal. He's a concerned citizen, and so are we. That's important." The drow woman smiled, her dark skin contrasting with pearly white teeth. Offering a spidery hand to Relos, she introduced herself, "My name is Vesstra, Captain Relos. Questions of legality should be brought to me, and me alone. We are not here to break laws, we're here to save people."
