Solveig was not much of a talker when it came to orders or debriefs with her soldiers. She was only moderately a talker when it came to personal time, and most of her talking to Sia was more suggestive in nature than explanatory. The Seeress however was quite an explainer, and Solveig was impressed with her depth of knowledge on a topic she herself had never even known before now. It was incredible how much there was to the world that she remained in the dark about, and she found listening to the woman speak to be both informative and fascinating.
That said, she was also taking the time to explore the boundaries of this empty world they found themselves in. Without rules except for those you made up yourself, she could do anything at all. She had called her shield into existence by simply willing it, and she found that wherever she needed a step one was there. So what else could she do? Could she do magic, here in this formless universe? As she walked behind the Seeress who continued to explain this world Solveig snapped her fingers and imagined a ball of crackling flame springing to life above her hand. It didn't work. She was fairly sure that was a fault on her part, possibly a lack of belief in herself doing magic, as opposed to a limitation on the part of the elsewhere. It was a shame because doing magic seemed like something that would be really neat. Maybe if she had magic she could have protected Sia…
The Seeress stopped and Solveig followed suit. They were at the dome-like edge of Sia’s dreamworld and nearby a bright tendril connected it to other dreamworlds far away that the Seeress pointed out. She said Solveig was the key, and she needed to touch the light to get into the world. With the Seeress holding onto her shoulder - something she assumed was so that she could follow Solveig into the world - Solveig nodded and reached forward for the light, unsure of what would happen next but prepared to do whatever she could to save her love.

Charlotte's assumption had proven to be true. Which was a good thing because it certainly would have made her look foolish if she'd been wrong (or perhaps would have made Solveig seem like a liar who wasn't actually very close to Sialarvanya after all). True to prediction, once Solveig laid her hand upon the stream of light, she and Charlotte were both pulled inside. The sensation was both similar and different to entering The Elsewhere to begin with - a tugging sensation on the spirit, a cascade of light flying past her vision indistinctly. Where it differed of course was the feeling of possessing less control this time, as no longer was Charlotte opening the door and stepping inside herself, but she was rather being dragged along.
When the light solidified once more into shapes that arguably made sense, Charlotte and Solveig found themselves standing in what appeared to be a building of some lavish sort. There were ornate decorations all around, a polished floor, a golden light filling the space. Charlotte squinted at their surroundings, feeling a sense of familiarity about what this place looked like. It was a place she was sure she had seen before, and yet everything seemed off about it, making it difficult to place.
"This place..." she spoke aloud, looking at it all with as frustrated sort of confusion. It was right there on the edge of her mind, and yet she couldn't put a name to it... And then, she saw a throne. And it clicked. "...I believe this is supposed to be the Rielcian Palace. The audience chamber of The Supreme, to be exact. Its visage has greeted my visions more than once. But the fact that it is currently empty tells us clearly enough that Sialarvanya is not here. Dreams exist to serve their hosts, and so when those hosts are not present, the dream is inactive, undisturbed. Merely a fragment of memory. And I would dare to say that our host in question has quite a skewed recollection of this place."
The palace Charlotte had seen on various visions was one of constantly shifting colors rather than a solid (if ornate-seeming) gold. The positions of various pieces of furniture and even architectural structures such as pillars appeared off, uneven in such a way that couldn't have been intentional. Perhaps it had simply been a long time since Sialarvanya had seen this place, and so remembering its structure was a challenge.
But then... Charlotte quirked her lips. She may not have been an expert on traveling dream scapes, but she was fairly certain that when an outsider took a visit into the subconscious mind of another, they were always met with surface layer content first, and only deeper plunges would take them into memories and experiences that were further back. The fact that this place had been the first place for Solveig and herself to land must have meant it was a recent memory. So unless The Supreme had done some very recent redecorating, the appearance of this place was an oddity any way you looked at it.
'All due respect, darling, I think perhaps you're letting this bother you a bit too much. There are other things to be concerned about then how a place within a dream looks, hm?'
Charlotte blinked and shook her head. Diamond was right. What was she doing getting so concerned and borderline frustrated with the appearance of the chamber? That wasn't like her.
'No, it's not, Char, so be careful,' Sojourn piped in, sounding more concerned than usual. 'You're inside another person's mind now, remember. If you're not careful, their feelings can sneak up on you, and wrap around you like a blanket. And who knows what else she could be feeling right now.'
...Oh. Charlotte would admit she hadn't known that. Good that Sojourn was here, then; as the conjuration specialist among them, she'd know the most about astral travel. So then... the frustration she felt as she looked around at this misshapen palace. This was Sialarvanya's frustration? Perhaps over not being able to remember the place properly? If so, that made sense given the appearance of the room.
She realized then that since speaking aloud, she hadn't bothered to give Solveig a single look, too consumed with the frustration she'd been feeling to think of it. She turned now to her companion, deciding that the soldier should be warned. "How are you feeling, Solveig? It would seem that in this world we are prey to more than just the creatures who are hunting your beloved. Her very emotions may be seeking to make us puppets."
The feeling of being pulled into Sia's own dreamscape was different than the first feeling of entering the Elsewhere at all. It was wilder, somehow, and whereas from the real world to the Elsewhere had been a quick poof and you're there kind of thing, this felt longer. It stretched and pulled her like taffy until she closed her eyes against the feeling and it was only then that it stopped, and she hardly felt the touch of the Seeress leave her as she doubled over, breathing heavily. She had seen there was no immediate threat, so she felt comfortable enough taking a breather before righting herself and looking around.
The place they were in seemed strange in some way, much like how in a dream things could look abnormal but at the time seem like they were just fine, except because they weren't sleeping they could see it as it was. Solveig did not recognize the location, but looking around it made her feel an almost vertigo kind of feeling and she dropped to a knee as it all seemed to reel around her. She could feel Sia's presence, like the warmth she felt when she lay next to her, but the other woman wasn't here. She tried not to let it frustrate her, but after coming all this way she was hoping to at least find Sia straightaway and get out of here. Instead it seemed like they would have to search, and this part of the Elsewhere wasn't like the one they were just in. They couldn't control things here, or if they could it wasn't to the same extent.
The Seeress had turned back to her and was asking how she felt. She said something about how her emotions could make them puppets or something but it sounded like more cryptic nonsense to her. Steadier now than a moment ago, Sol rose to her feet once more and drew her sword, looking down the nearest hall for any sign of Sia, any tracks or lights or butterflies or anything that would indicate where she was. "I'm fine, just a little disoriented for a minute. Let's find her." She didn't know where Sia could be, but if she was determined enough to find her somewhere, maybe she would. "Where are we?" If this was a place in the real world and she could orient herself, she could find other places too. Sia would be at her tower, if it was here. Solveig was sure of it.

THE PATH TWISTS WITHIN ITSELF, A KNOTTED MAP OF TRUTH
Sialarvanya's Mindscape
"Somewhere within the twisted geography of her memories," Charlotte replied, casting her gaze about once more. "Though as I have said, this memory specifically appears to be the Audience Chamber of Rielcia's Supreme. It is almost beyond recognition, however. Thus I would assume it is a rather old memory. Unusual. One generally expects to land upon the most recent layers of the mind, once gaining entry."
'Char, I'm finding this pretty tough to map out, honestly,' Sojourn stated, a thoughtful hum accompanying the statement. 'Navigating a mind isn't the same as navigating a place or plane... it's all twisted up.'
That's quite alright, Sojourn, Charlotte replied. That was what she was for, after all. Sojourn was relied upon to get her from place to place quite often, yes. But navigating a mind was Charlotte's specialty. She just needed time to familiarize herself with it.
'If I may, Darling,' Diamond supplied. 'I'm actually getting quite a good feeling about the door just over there. Something about it is calling out... perhaps a pathway I could transmute for us?'
Well, that was as promising a lead as any.
"Perhaps we should start to move?" she suggested to her companion, gesturing at the same doors Diamond made note of. "There will not necessarily be any rhyme or reason to where we arrive when we step through those doors. The memory may continue, or we may find ourselves in a new thought entirely. The flow of thoughts within a mind will often only make sense to the thinker. But afford me some time as we explore, and I will gradually become accustomed to it."
