[attr="class","h1"]Fade to Black
[attr="class","body"]Zechariah Vanros. Acacia-Black. A burden that brought tragedy to the kinas who formed him. Whoever he is, he now tries to make a modest living for himself working at Pagemasters in Teche. If anyone is looking for a tome of spells, a collection of myths and fables, or tales of the gods of old, then Zechariah would be happy to find it for you! Unless, of course, your reason for visiting is personal. Zechariah has no memories of his life before a few years ago, other than some compulsion to serve a man named Thomas Dunn. Zechariah hopes to find someone with a connection to his past. The only problem is, Zechariah has no concrete plan of who or what to look for…
Companion Storyline

Project Acacia
Jan. 31, 2017
Thomas has successfully "upgraded" the kina's implant, effectively purging Zechariah Vanros. Now, all that remains of the kina is a puppet known as Acacia-Black.

Locations
- Pagemasters
Zechariah works in the stockroom of Pagemasters, a bookstore in Teche, the capital city of Sector C. As such, Zechariah can be found at night as a regular in a nearby inn, his occasional stop when he does not have the time or inclination to travel to Dimant. With enough time and money, perhaps Zechariah could afford a home for himself. - Rielcia
Zechariah was born to alumni from the School of Enchantment, making Rielcia Zechariah’s true homeland. Zechariah suspects that Rielcia will offer some insight to who he really is, but suspects that they would not take kindly to a black kina under fear that he would raise the undead against them. For the moment, Zechariah has little desire to visit Rielcia until he is certain that a journey will bring him answers.
People
- Edgar Vanros
Zechariah’s adoptive brother. Edgar and Zechariah don’t interact much, as they live in different sectors of Dirys, but when they do meet, their interactions are cordial. Edgar would be interested in seeing what exactly could push Zechariah’s buttons, not that Zechariah realizes it. Edgar Vanros - Nicole Vanros
Zechariah's adoptive sister. Although they both live in Sector C, they are usually focused on their own personal matters, with Nicole serving as a soldier in the Diryn military. Nicole Vanros - Thomas Dunn
Zechariah remembers only the man’s name. Zechariah’s other identity, Acacia-Black, was one of Doctor Thomas Dunn’s test subjects in Project Acacia. Unable to recall the depths of Thomas’ experiments, Zechariah believes that his memory of the doctor’s name is due once being loyal to Thomas. Thomas has since found Zechariah, who hopes to reclaim some memories of his past. Unfortunately, their reunion seems to have caused Zechariah to exhibit two conflicting forms of behavior… Thomas Dunn - Zota Vanros
Zechariah's adoptive father. Zota Vanros - ACACIA-GREEN
ACACIA-BLACK's "sister", and one of Tom's longest pieces of work. Acacia-Green
Objects
- A Preliminary Study of the Schools of Magic
Although Zechariah is a black kina, he suspects that his parents were not of the same color. Buying a book from Pagemasters, Zechariah uses this book as a reference guide, suspecting that his Necromantic abilities may instead fall under a different School of Magic. Among the seven Schools, Zechariah suspects a connection to Enchantment, Conjuration, or Transmutation.
