[attr="class","body"]Charlotte is plagued with two recurring visions, both distinct, which display the end of the world. In one vision, a sleeping horror creeps from beneath the earth, mortals are consumed in death and destruction, and demons and monsters reign across the landscape. In the other, people live endless lives of suffering and torment, all death erased from the world as they exist in a perpetual state of misery under a terrible brilliance. Despite being different depictions, both are, in a fashion, an apocalypse, and both are constant recurrences in her mind's eye, which indicates to her that at present, no matter what happens, the world is headed towards one of these two outcomes.

Charlotte is investigating all over the world, following leads of things such as major political upheaval or stories of people engaging in troubling mystical rituals, in the hopes that eventually she will be able to find the catalyst that results in these visions coming to pass, and ideally, she will then be able to stop it from happening.

Investigation
Charlotte's visions do not offer her any concrete clues as to who or what specifically is causing these apocalypses to come to pass; as such, she must visit a variety of locations, people, or events, and perform scryings with those things as her focus. By looking into the future of something specific, she can determine whether or not it is something tied to her visions. She has few leads to go on initially, so she is starting by looking into anything she hears of that could potentially make large political impact or have magical ramifications.

  Charlotte has learned that one of her two apocalyptic visions has a strong tie to Muerte, and through a meeting with a member of a hidden, nameless order, she has determined that the Doors of Death, hidden somewhere in Muerte, are the key. The Glass Tomb near Arazus is also of note, being a supposed source of information...
• Niseca
  Charlotte's next stop was Niseca, where she planned to seek out the many 'spells' of Fayana's myth, to prevent them from getting into darker hands.

  Meeting in Guadaro under unfavorable circumstances, Kiku has become an unexpected ally of Charlotte's, and has not questioned her belief in the forthcoming end of the world. He has offered her his help in stopping it, and Charlotte has begrudgingly warmed up to him. Kikuriku Gouken
• Ichabod Afof
  Though she may not know it, Ichabod is one of Charlotte's adversaries. He is responsible for the doings of one of her visions, and her actions at present are unknowingly working against him. Ichabod Afof

The Sponsors

• Miss Diamond
  A feminine voice with a posh style of speaking, Diamond has a noticeable degree of affection for Charlotte beyond that which her other Sponsors show her, and is arguably present with Charlotte most often between them. Though she is whimsical and teasing, she seems to have a very serious calmness when the situation calls for it. Her presence gives Charlotte access to Transmutation magic beyond Charlotte's basic remote control spell.
• Specs
  Described as being fork-tongued, Specs is a bit rude and perhaps even mildly sadistic. He provides Charlotte with more powerful Divination and more detailed visions when he is present, and he appears to get a major kick out of people who disregard Charlotte's advice and ruin their own lives in the process. Despite this, he can be oddly sensitive at times, though he hides it behind attitude. This appears to stem from his "less necessary" status, given the magic he provides is magic Charlotte already possesses.
• Sojourn
  A bit flighty, certainly cheery, and a self-described artist, Sojourn calls Charlotte 'Char' and tends to act very chummy with her. She doesn't get along with Specs. Sojourn can at times seem neglectful, but she is no less effective than the others. She provides Charlotte with access to Conjuration, and takes mild offense to Charlotte keeping a storage charm on hand just because of that.
• Lotus
  Polite and mild-mannered, Lotus tends to act as a reasonable anchor when Diamond or Specs, or even The Gentleman, are present as well. He worries for Charlotte's well-being, and will remind the others not to bother her too much with their chatter. He provides her with Abjuration when he is present.
• The Gentleman
  Perhaps her most distant Sponsor, The Gentleman is often rather businesslike and does not get exceptionally chummy with Charlotte - at least, not to the degree in which the others do. He does take an interest in her dealings with others though, and speaks in a posh manner similar to Miss Diamond, though with less whimsy. He allows Charlotte to use Evocation when he is around, but he is perhaps also the least often present.

Objects

• Crystal Ball
  Charlotte's crystal ball is her most important tool, serving a number of functions. She paid an extremely large sum of money, emptying her savings, to commission the crafting of this object. Made of cleaned, clear crystal, refined to the point of exceeding diamond in hardness, it is unbreakable by most practical means. Charlotte's mastery of a specific spell of remote control allows this item to travel with her by floating beside her, not requiring her active attention, and she can use it as a weapon of self-defense as well by manipulating it to fly around. Most importantly, of course, it serves as her primary medium for performing scryings, allowing her to focus her powers and gaze into the past, present, and future.
• Tarot Cards
  A set of cards that Charlotte uses as tools for Divination, these are Charlotte's go-to for more shorthand readings that don't require too much of her divination magic the way a scrying might. She often uses them preliminarily to determine if a full scrying will even be necessary. Though she can't wield them with the same control as her specialized practice with her orb, she is capable of basic remote control magic with them, causing them to do showy things like float in the air above her palms and twirl about.
• Sabine's Scroll
  Set to be uncovered in the Glass Tomb, this scroll will provide invaluable information to Charlotte regarding what is required to unseal the Doors of Death, and thus will give her clues for how to find the perpetrator.
