Nicole wakes up on the Defiled Grail, and Captain Merlyn Astra has found a ship worthy of a hunt. Still adjusting to becoming a pirate, Nicole seeks advice from Leigh, while also hoping to make amends for her behavior during the jailbreak.

Several of Nicole's crewmates have acquired an airship, and are planning to sneak into an Artavian facility to rescue another member of the crew. Nicole has been assigned to the infiltration crew, led by Wight.

Early Afternoon, 10th of The Scales of Judgment
While Nicole's squad patrolled Magei, Markus Woodrow arrived, inviting Nicole to guide him to a meeting with Minister Ruiha Maytal. During their walk, Woodrow flirted with Nicole, and even invited her to dinner. Nicole declined his invitation, but Woodrow responded with threats and insults. Nicole reached for her rifle in an attempt to scare the noble, but Woodrow called forth several of his attendants, as well as local officers. Nicole was arrested, deciding to seek revenge against the Lord of Eersaeb.
2. Cellmates
Late Evening, 13th of The Scales of Judgment
A few days after her arrest, Nicole is sent to the most secure prison in all of Liesdro. Now sharing a cell with a pirate, Nicole blames Markus Woodrow for ruining her life. However, the pirate, Leigh Haskell, shares in Nicole's hatred of Woodrow, and suggests that Nicole should become a pirate as well. Another pirate, Maldrem "Wight", breaks Nicole and Leigh out from their cell, and the three break free from the prison. Although Nicole is reluctant, she agrees to join the pirate's crew: The Defiled Grail.

Late Afternoon, 14th of The Scales of Judgment
Leigh brings Nicole aboard The Defiled Grail, introducing her to the crew's captain, Merlyn Astra. Despite her arrest, Nicole continues to wear her soldier's uniform, which makes the captain skeptical of whether or not he should trust her. Commissioning a new outfit from the ship's tailor, Farenbow, Nicole slowly begins her new life as a pirate.
