Solveig was on leave. The Winter Storm was a slow time of year for most countries, outside of Aissic and their gaudy festival of peace - an event that had good intentions somewhere under their glitz and glam - and Regentus Scleris had already made his appearance there. Now that he had safely returned to Malscure, she had the rest of the month off. Admittedly, that was only a few days, but the good thing about Rielcia was that it was located right around the corner. Even with only a few days, she had enough time for one very important trip.
She strode through the wilds in a simple outfit that looked more befitting of an adventurer than a soldier, but she enjoyed the light tunic and pants, and the boots were strong and built for the trek. As always, her sword was sheathed at her side. She always rode to Ilibisivity on Brynja, her horse, but enjoyed walking the remaining few miles to the tower. Malscure and Rielcia shared a good many things, but it felt as though they shared the sunlight unequally and while she was used to it in Malscure that didn't mean she couldn't enjoy it while she was here. She certainly planned to enjoy a few other things while she was here as well. While she always enjoyed the walk, she also enjoyed her destination a good deal, and she looked up at the single door, located in the tower high above.
"Rapunzel Rapunzel, let down your hair," she called out with a grin.

er door was open before Solveig could complete her call. She wore a smile on her face, and although she couldn't see her soldier, she could feel her presence warming her bones in the nasty cold. "I'm afraid I've cut it," She responded with a smile, laying down at the door and leaning an elbow upon it as it were a window sill. She ran her fingers through her hair to show that it most certainly would not reach the ground, and then turned her posture to one of exaggerated thought.
While she pretended to think, she mused on her love below. A soldier, shockingly enough. Not the type Vanya ever expected herself to fall for. No, in fact she felt genetically predisposed to dislike soldiers, to dislike the people similar to her family. And yet, there was Solveig. The human who had stolen into her heart and gave it reason to beat again. The only thing good about the Winter Storm was when Solveig got several days off, and would come to her tower. Vanya would not waste it. In fact, she had readied many a gift for her dear - and many an activity, too.
"I suppose there might be other ways to enter my tower... But they are all quite costly. To summon you forth, hm... I feel as though I would need ten kisses for such a task. Might you be amenable, handsome knight?"
The moment Sia appeared in the doorway Solveig's playful grin turned soft. It had been too long since she had last been here, but then even one day away felt too long. It was hard of course because Solveig had her duty to attend to in Malscure and the great and powerful Vanya had her tower here in Rielcia, and neither could leave. Perhaps someday they would be together for more than a few stolen days at a time, but for now at least they had these days.
Sia lay down at the door and replied that she had cut her hair. Too short to climb, alas. Solveig loved watching her run her fingers through her hair.. though what she loved more was to run her own fingers through it. Sia's hair was light pink and silky soft, and it was one of Solveig's great pleasures in life to run her fingers through it while they kissed. It always amused Solveig that so much of Sia's appearance was soft and pink and beautiful, which could lead a great many people to think perhaps Sia was soft all the way through, but her personality was strong and fiery. It was the perfect combination, if you asked her. She had never loved anyone like she loved Sia.
The tiefling mused that perhaps there were other ways to enter her tower, but they came at quite a cost. Solveig hummed in thought. "You drive a hard bargain, my lady," she replied plafully. "I suppose I'll accept those terms." There was going to be a lot more than ten kisses.

"I
n that case then..." Sia smiled, locking her thumbs together at the joint and waving her hands fluidly. As she did, a fluttering could be heard in the air, and then Solveig was lifted from the ground. A mass of pink butterflies had gathered her up, their wings leaving behind a golden glow of magic as they did so. They curled around her body, kissing her gently with their fluttering wings as they smoothly raised her the several story height to the door. Vanya had stood by then, backing up just enough for Solveig to step out of the butterflies and into the tower.
The tower had been decorated - sort of - in celebration of Solveig's arrival. While Vanya wasn't a fan of the festival of peace, or really anything that was Aissic-related, she found herself getting more into the celebratory spirit when Solveig was around. Garlands of gold were hung from the rafters, and she had conjured a conifer-like tree from Aissic, which she had poured a gold-plating potion on, and sprinkled with pink dust used for makeup. The tree had no decorations like some might, but the glimmering quality of it seemed enough to make it festive.
"Now don't cheat me, my knight. I'll be counting," Her smile seemed to brighten her unseeing eyes as she made a flicking motion with her fingers that had the butterflies bumping Solveig into the room. She reached out, not stopping until she captured Solveig's cheek in her hand, and ran her warm, elemental-plane cursed nail down her cheek bone before leaning the few inches down to meet her lips. The first kiss after being apart was always the sweetest. Her lips were soft, and the light taste of sweat on skin allowed Sia the notion of how far Solveig had walked to reach her. "One," her sigh was a whisper as the two broke apart, a sound of perfect happiness.
Solveig loved how easily Sia could use magic. It was brilliant, really. The butterflies she had grown to know quite well on her many visits fluttered around her and lifted her from the ground. The first few times she had been sure she would fall - butterflies didn't seem the most sturdy of creatures that could fly and she had been afraid she would simply break through them - but now she enjoyed the ride, trusting Sia's magic to keep her safe. It wasn't often that Solveig got to feel like she was flying, and the fact that at the end of it she would be mere steps away from her love was only the icing on the cake.
At the door of the tower she stepped easily from the cloud of butterflies to the stone floor, and the first place her gaze went was to Sia, though she absently noticed a tree in the background which she would surely take a better look at later, when she wasn't so focused on the most dazzling thing in the room of course. When Sia said she would be counting and urged her not to cheat, Solveig chuckled. As though that were a possibility. "I never break my word," she replied solemnly, but the effect was ruined by the smile that curled her lips.
The butterflies, the ultimate wingmen (pun intended), gently pushed Solveig forward where Sia reached out and caught Solveig's cheek, which was always impressive to Solveig as Sia was blind. Not once had she ever poked her in the eye accidentally. Solveig leaned into the touch and placed her own hand over Sia's as she was pulled in for the first kiss, which was every bit as beautiful as she had known it would be. She would never tire of Sia's lips. She took Sia's hand, the one on her cheek, and moved to place it on her back before moving to wrap her arm around the woman and pull her close. A soft, sweet kiss was always a lovely way to begin, but it awoke a hunger for more and Solveig relished in the feel of Sia's curves against her own body, fitting perfectly together. Sia was taller than her by a few inches, and her free hand went to the back of Sia's head to thread through her hair and pull her into another kiss, deeper this time. Pulling back she lay a quick peck back on her lips, then her nose, then right on the black mark on her forehead. She lay her forehead against Sia's and breathed her in, then spoke. "Does my lady wish for all ten kisses to be upon her lips?" She pulled away and smirked at Sia, a playful glint to her gaze.

S
he was blessed by her soldier with kiss after kiss, and she counted each one with a quiet smile. Two, she breathed after the deeper kiss, her tongue licking her lips for the taste of her love. She moved to pull Solveig close for another, but Solveig teased her with a chaste peck to her lips (three), her nose (four), and her forehead (five). Sia traced her hand from her position on Solveig's back up her arm, her shoulder, her neck, and finally wrapped it into her love's hair, brushing out the tangles with her fingers.
She smiled back at Solveig's offer, not seeing the smirk but hearing it in her voice. Her brows raised and she chuckled softly. Her free hand conjured a breeze that shut her tower door, and in the privacy it created she offered an equally playful response: "I've never been so boring." She leaned forward once more, using Solveig's breath as a guide to her lips. Sia's own traced across them - not kissing, just touching - her breath light as she traveled across her loves cheek and to her right ear, where she settled one gently on the crease between ear and neck. "But first," Her breath was hot against Solveig's neck, "I've a gift for you, my love."
She pulled away as quickly as she had melted into her soldier, and turned with a knowledge of her home that she could not express elsewhere. She stepped easily over items on the floor, and moved as if she could see all around her. She held a hand out as she faced the tree, the new addition not quite memorized as of yet, and smiled as glittering dust came up in a cloud with a touch of the branch. She stooped then, and pulled free a small box, hardly as big as the hand she held it in.
"Just a token, my dear," She turned and held it out, allowing Solveig to save her the trouble of navigating back to her.
Once Solveig would open the box, she would find a small piece of parchment, rolled carefully, and tied with gold ribbon. Inside, a small spell. The writing was small, and filled the whole page, but the centre of it was large and bold. A single word she would need to read to activate the spell, instead of bothering with the essay written around it. A conjuration spell. She had given Solveig a few of these in the past, but this was the most complex yet. This was not a pocket to put her belongings in, not a one-use offering of teleportation to a pre-determined location. This was something far more dangerous, were it being put into the wrong hands. But Solveig held the right hands - the very right hands, Sia could attest.
"Should you need me when you are far," She explained, one hand closing Solveig's around the miniature scroll, "All you need do is hold that paper and speak my name. Fully, clearly, with meaning. If you do, I shall appear to you in an instant."
Sia's magic shut the door to the tower and despite how they were already alone in a tower in the middle of the woods, the shutting of the door gave the true feeling of privacy, and her response gave the promise of something more. Her eyelids fluttered shut as Sia moved to trace her lips across her own, the gentle touch shooting fire as it tickled across to her cheek. In her everyday life no touch given to her was soft, and a breath on her face meant close combat with an enemy. Here, she didn't have to be on guard. Here she could melt into the feeling, her breath catching as her love's soft lips found purchase on her neck just below her ear. Sia said she had a gift for her, and then pulled away. Solveig didn't want to give up the warmth and closeness after such a short moment, but she was also curious. Sia moved across the room easily and Solveig followed shortly behind, so when Sia picked up the box and held it out to her she was there to take it from her offered hand. She said it was just a token, but Solveig knew that Sia's gifts were never so simple. She had a flair for the dramatic.
Solveig opened the box carefully to reveal the scroll inside, wrapped in a golden ribbon. She knew what a magic scroll looked like, having received similar ones from Sia in the past, but when she unrolled this one it revealed a veritable novel written in neat, tiny script that was quite unlike any she had seen before. She rolled it back up and looked to Sia, who seemed to know her question without hearing it. She answered that the scroll would call her if she was needed, just by holding the scroll and speaking her name. Solveig wondered if it was a single use scroll like some, or if it could be used at any time. She would ask later, perhaps, but for now she tucked it into a pouch attached to her belt and pulled Sia close again, placing another gentle kiss on her soft lips. "I need you always," she answered, "but I will try to limit the use of the scroll to only the most urgent of matters."

"F
ive," Sia cooed after the kiss, her hands running down her soldier's impressive arms. She appreciated the lack of armor in some ways, one of them being that she could feel how toned and strong Solveig was. If she didn't have such a deep love and trust of her, Vanya might worry that such a powerful woman could simply toss the flimsy blind conjurer from the tower... Though she supposed that Solveig was in just as much danger, were they enemies instead of lovers. Sia was, after all, one of the most powerful conjurers in the world. Perhaps it was in those ways that they completed each other. Solveig the incredibly powerful brute with a heart as strong as her body; Sialarvanya the genius mage... And they were both beautiful, Sia was certain. She had never seen Solveig's face, but by touch she could tell it was perfect.
Her skin grew with goosebumps with delight at her love's response. I need you always, the words reverberated through her mind and she tangled her fingers in Solveig's hair. As always, she moved in slowly, waiting to feel breath against her own lips. "Say that again," She asked, her words falling against Solveig's lips. Each time her lips moved, they brushed against her soldier's. Not a kiss. More like the fluttering of butterfly wings. Light, chaste, never enough. She spoke once more, her voice husky, her tone desperate for the love it filled her heart with: "One more time."
Solveig wasn't counting, but if she was she would know that was number six. Not that it mattered, really. There would be much more than ten by the end of the day, and Sia immediately distracted her by running her hands down her arms, something she didn't want to admit she liked a great deal. She mostly liked how Sia appreciated the strong muscle she had on her arms. She'd worked hard for her strength, to be sure, and if she preened a bit whenever Sia took notice of it that was only to be expected really. With strength, she could protect the people she loved. She could protect Sia. Not that Sia needed to be protected, as she was also more than capable of destroying anyone who stood against her, but still. She liked feeling like the protector, like she could hold Sia and keep her safe. She was a big spoon kind of girl.
She could see the goosebumps rise on her love's soft pink skin after she spoke, and she loved the feeling as Sia's fingers found their way back to get caught up in her hair. Her scalp was one of her most sensitive points, and despite being a big strong burly soldier she would not feel bad admitting to loving having her hair played with. Sia moved in close, her lips brushing lightly against Solveig's lips as she told her to say it again, one more time. Solveig couldn't describe what Sia's voice was doing to her right now, but it was making her weak at the knees. Two could play at that game. She ran her thumb lightly against Sia's cheek and then cupped her jaw with her hand. "I need you," she replied, her own voice sultry with desire. "Always."
hen Solveig repeated the words, Sia groaned with pleasure and crashed her lips against her soldier's once more. The kiss was desperate, as if she couldn't breathe without her lips finding purchase against Solveig's, and when it finally broke apart she whispered: "Seven." And then snapped her fingers. The two were teleported instantly to the foot of Sia's bed, and Sia immediately fell back, bringing Solveig with her.
Her plans were obvious, but they found themselves soon interrupted by calls from outside. At first, Sia ignored them. Then they turned to groans, and still she ignored them, pressing for Solveig not to fret about them either. But finally, when a resounding knock came to her door, she groaned - this time with no pleasure - and prepared herself to murder someone. She snapped her fingers again, disappearing in a spark of gold and leaving Solveig in the bed as she appeared at her door. She blew it open with a conjured wind, the person on the other side screaming out as they barely managed to grab hold of the vines just below them.
"Hey! Watch it!" The voice came, a man's. He was built like a warrior, muscles imposing. He carried a sword on his waist, but the rest of him appeared underdressed for the weather. A glance to the ground where heavy armor and a massive rucksack lay told her that he'd shed them in order to make the climb. Stupid.
"Do you hold any concept of the day?" Sia seethed, her tail writhing furiously, "Might I not receive a single moment of rest without another punter climbing my walls to interrupt me?"
