Cherry is many things! Oh, how could she even begin to describe herself? Well, here's the thing: Cherry loves people. Like, honestly, yeah, a lot of people say that and it's just utter shit, but seriously! Cherry actually does just love people! Loves meeting them, loves talking to them, loves inviting herself into their lives to be friends with them (regardless of their say so in the matter), and even loves hearing about their problems, can you even imagine? But it's totally true.[break][break]
She's friendly, lively, adventurous, and honestly a bit of a gossip. But you know, she's never really done that last thing maliciously! Really, it's just harmless ribbing if nothing else. So, friendly! Well, we've already been over that then, haven't we? She's a people person, and that's the short and skinny of it. So then, lively? Yes, let's talk about that. If you were to make a metaphor, you could say that when Cherry walks into a room it's rather like the sun waking you up in the morning. It's bright and cheerful and energizing, but also for some people incredibly unwelcome like oh my god, Cherry, please.[break][break]
Adventurous? Well wouldn't Fortuna be surprised to know that famed fashion designer and wealthy heiress Cherry Milerand liked to go spelunking and exploring in her down time, a regular rough and tumble kind of girl. Okay that's a lie, Cherry can take care of herself well enough but she's hardly rough and tumble, let's be honest. But still, the rest is true! Cherry loves to go treasure hunting. Honestly she's just very very fond of money, though seems to carry the odd stipulation that she only likes money that she has either found or earned for herself. Stolen or given? Oh perish the thought.[break][break]
Other words that have been used to describe Cherry are odd, ambitious, obnoxious, and at times turbulent. She fancies herself an artist, so she can be a bit run down and irritable when she hits a block in her designing. Usually it's around then that she decides she needs to go and see a new place, put herself out there, and just love life, you know?
It's precious!

[attr="class","appheading"]APPEARANCE
[attr="class","appcontainer"]
Cherry is teal-skinned Lamini with vivid green eyes, who stands at a height of 5'6. Though Lamini hair tends to come in only very limited hues, there have been a few noted exceptions, and Cherry would certainly be one of them. She is, in many ways, an unusual case for Lamini, though we'll touch more on that later. For now, the standout details that set her apart from others of her kind would be her very noticeable strawberry blonde hair, and the very light dusting of slightly darker teal freckles that can be found on her cheeks.[break][break]
Cherry's build is thin and lithe, the type of build that most fashion designers would call ideal for modeling (though Cherry herself would be the first to tell you that clothes are for everyone, and insists on catering to an extremely diverse array of body types). It suits her lifestyle well, though, considering how she enjoys hopping and bouncing around when out on an adventure and fitting herself through narrow cracks in cave walls when spelunking.[break][break]
As for her style of dress, there would honestly be no point in trying to describe it here, as Cherry is constantly in an ever-changing rotation of outfits. Her fashion sense is all over the spectrum, from graceful beauty, to peppy and youthful, to outright bizarre; there's very little consistency in her outfits. The only thing that is common in all her different clothes is, of course, flair.

[attr="class","appheading"]HISTORY
[attr="class","appcontainer"]
Cherry, the unusual Lamini, started her unusual life by not dying after being born.[break][break]
Lamini females, especially in Noble households, were often quietly culled for the sake of reputation and progeny. If Cherry, an infertile Lamini female, could not continue her family's or even her species' line, then what good was she to a noble house? This was how most nobles, most Lamini, would think. And as fate would have it, Cherry was born into the House of Milerand, one of Liesdro's greatest and most reputable noble families. Their legacy dated back generations, starting from a charismatic Lamini who sold beautiful jewels. The family's prominence, in fact, was so notable that they were often called the Cowells of the Light, as they dwelt in the country near opposite in every way from Malscure.[break][break]
Culling a Lamini female was not an uncommon practice. It had supposedly taken place a number of times even within Cherry's own family history. Perhaps it was the first string of her good fortune that she had kind, loving parents. She was her father's first child, born shortly after he assumed his new position as head of the House of Milerand, and he had a kind heart. His wife, a human woman with a heart of charity, thought that the practice of culling or even otherwise sending away a Lamini girl child was barbaric and heartless. But her father's predecessor urged it. The whole damned family urged it. It was bad for the reputation, bad for the line. High Lamini children of noble birth must be male.[break][break]
Pressured by the family but unwilling to let harm come to their daughter, Cherry's parents, Adam and Fleur, took her to Niseca, to Fleur's parents. There she was to be cared for in secret. Adam and Fleur would come to see her whenever they could, and Cherry grew up loving her dear grandparents. But Fleur was human, and so too were her parents. They were already getting on in years when Cherry was newborn, and she was aging slowly due to her Lamini heritage. She was still just a little girl by the time her grandparents were elderly, and she did everything she could to make life easier on them.[break][break]
But it was hard.[break][break]
Cherry only ever got to see her parents fleetingly, and her grandparents were the only other family she had. Her whole continued living was supposed to be a big secret, her name not supposed to get out, and she thought the whole thing was stupid. It was hard watching her grandparents age while she felt like she was standing still. It was hard to know they'd probably die before she even looked like a full-grown woman. And that they did, eventually. Her grandmother went first, and her mother Fleur came to see her when she was on her deathbed, ill. Cherry felt... disconnected from the moment. She wasn't like her mother, wasn't like her grandparents, and no matter what Fleur said, Cherry found it hard to believe she was actually loved if this is the life she had to lead.[break][break]
Her grandfather passed quietly in his sleep one night, some time after, likely just of loneliness. Cherry found him, and wasn't sure what she was supposed to do after she'd had a good cry about it. She settled on writing her parents a letter. She told them about the death, thanked them for their supposed love, but decided she couldn't live like this anymore. She sent the letter and notified someone in town of her grandfather's passing so that they could send someone to tend to the body. She was gone before her parents actually arrived though.[break][break]
Cherry began a new life then, determined to make a lasting impression on people the way she'd never had the chance to as she grew up. Determined to actually live her life and discover what it really meant to love and be loved, for real. Cherry found that she loved a great many things, and many people, too. She became so enchanted with the world beyond the pretend prison she had lived in, and though she got some questions, and even sneers from some, over her being a female Lamini, she never let it impede her happiness. She'd gotten into one or two scrapes, too, and the experience wound up teaching her about a hidden talent she had no idea she possessed![break][break]
And speaking of hidden talents, she also discovered a love for fashion. Cherry had no money to her name when she set out, and her only prior experience with it had been in the money her parents sent to take care of her. So when she found herself in want of clothes, she wound up improvising many outfits on her travels with whatever she could find, using her artistic flair to put together interesting ensembles. And she found that she rather liked it! So much so, in fact, that she straight away decided it was time to study tailoring.[break][break]
It went far more swimmingly than one might have imagined. Starting from a ramshackle cart with her earliest works hanging from it, Cherry worked her way up to a booth, then personal tailoring jobs, then a full shop, and eventually even hired staff! In fact, she made quite the little name for herself, and when asked, she would insist that her originality and allure of her designs stemmed from the love she had found in the world around her. And it was thanks to this small, but growing, level of fame that her parents finally found her again.[break][break]
They came in plain sight in the middle of the day, Cherry's mother Fleur now quite old but desperately happy to see her little girl again. And more surprising than that was her father's adamant declaration that she come back to Liesdro, that she was his child and he was a fool for ever letting the family pressure him into abandoning her. He made it known on that day that she was his daughter, acknowledging it publicly, and even named her as his heiress to the shock of many. Cherry was stunned by it all, and her mother simply wanted her to come home.[break][break]
Well, Cherry just couldn't do that. She had her own business now, after all, and hey, she super appreciated the show of love to bits and bits! But she couldn't just abandon the life she'd started, not when it was her's and her's alone. So she agreed that she'd come to Liesdro, the place that she couldn't truly call home, and she would go through the paperwork and get official citizenship, and she would even make a show of visiting and living there regularly so that the family and the public would see that she was definitely committed to being the heiress (even if she kinda hoped maybe her dad would just pump out another kid). She found it interesting to say the least how much the family's tune had supposedly changed about the idea of her eventually succeeding the household when they had heard about how successful she was.[break][break]
But, she also retained her Nisequois citizenship, the citizenship and culture of grandparents, and spent just as much, if not more time, continuing to live and work there as she did at her new, not-home. Now At 70, still young for a Lamini, Cherry has already managed to accomplish quite a bit... but much like many others of her kind, there seemed to always be that call for more. More she could do, more she could test, more she could see and experience. She was an eccentric heiress and fashion designer splitting her life between two countries, adventuring in several others, living as something that was usually killed at birth, and the world was her oyster.[break][break]
So obviously she needed some oyster sauce.

[attr="class","appheading"]ABILITIES
[attr="class","appcontainer"]
[attr="class","appability"]➢ Charismatic[break]
Perhaps an extension or representation of her kind's Enthralling Gaze, Cherry has a natural way with people that she meets, often able to bring a smile to their faces and make them receptive to the idea of her friendship. Though there is never really anything ulterior in her friendly nature for most people, this does still come to help her for business arrangements, as she can usually strike a deal most favorable to her through her natural charm.
[break][break]
[attr="class","appability"]➢ The Hunger[break]
As a High Lamini, Cherry requires an intake of magical energy in order to survive. She can, in a pinch, go without for up to three days without experiencing too much trouble due to her impeccable level of health, but this still pushes it a bit, and she often needs something more regular in order to stay in tip-top shape and keep her mind fresh. Cherry wouldn't mind it so much if she fed like a Kina, not necessarily needing to drain magic so much as just be around it like they did, but that is unfortunately not reality. Cherry doesn't particularly like seeing a magic object lose all of its pizzazz because she had to drain it of its energy, but that's what she's gotta deal with.
[break][break]
[attr="class","appability"]➢ Super Healing 5000 Deluxe™ Supreme[break]
Otherwise simply known as accelerated healing. Cherry's body can heal from minor injuries remarkably quickly, with cuts and scrapes fading away in mere seconds most of the time. Harsher wounds, like larger cuts or heavy impacts can be healed in minutes, and even dire injury isn't out of the question, though some would require Cherry to lie still and undisturbed for a few hours to heal from. An example would be being stabbed through with a large blade. Assuming she could get off the blade without any dismemberment, her diced insides could actually recover if left alone for long enough! This accelerated level of healing also seems to keep her abnormally healthy, making her much more resilient to disease and more or less immune to regular illnesses. Unknown to Cherry entirely, though, is the fact that her strange, abnormal health has also given her a gift that no other living Lamini woman has: the ability to get pregnant.
Also unknown to her is that this ability is a unique form of Transmutation magic, which would be strange to her to know, since she's never thought she had much talent with magic.
[break][break]
[attr="class","appability"]➢ Extremely Basic Spells[break]
She is no spellcaster, but Cherry has learned how to do small, Quality-of-Life things like float a small nearby object to her hand, such as sewing needles, or change the color of a spool of thread (with some concentration), and even generate a tiny spark for lighting candles or melting hot glue. It's all useful stuff!
