[attr="class","h1"]Lead to Gold
[attr="class","body"]Lucky is far from the average coonka. Once a simple petty thief, through self-teaching and the guidance of a Dirys industrialist he has become a skilled inventor and an experienced entrepreneur, and now with his latest business venture, a budding treasure hunter who has traveled the breadth of Fortuna both on foot and aboard his airship the Dragonfly. Not that success has necessarily been easy to find. Having been betrayed by his mentor, faced with numerous business failures, and nearly imprisoned and executed in Artavia, Lucky has had a wild and oftentimes dangerous life.
But the coonka is far from deterred. Since he was a young cub in Telon Lucky has dreamed of becoming a wealthy and famous inventor in Fortuna, and if anything the problems he has so far faced have strengthened this resolve. Driven by the coonka taste for wealth, a vow that he would prove his old mentor wrong, and a fair bit of spite and stubbornness, Lucky will do near anything to claw his way to top, whether it be through treasure hunting, his firearms company Lucky Arms, or some other venture.
After all, there's nothing a coonka loves more than a good challenge.
Shady Dealings
Lucky may be a businessman and inventor, but he's also a former thief and con artist, and throughout his time on Fortuna he has taken part in a number of shady dealings and made a fair number of enemies in the process. I would never do something without plotting it ahead of time, but just fair warning that Lucky is not an extremely reputable individual. He's stabbed business partners in the back, lied and cheated his way to money, and at the end of the day really only cares about himself, so please don't be insulted if he ends up doing the same to your character.
Inventor
In the same vein as Ekahi's occupation, since Lucky is an inventor and entrepreneur he's had a number of inventions and business ventures over the year. If any character needs a source for a unique weapon or the like, I'm 100% open to having it come from Lucky or have the coonka be involved somehow, and bonus points if you need someone to be scammed by and subsequently hate.

Locations
- Dirys
One of the more industrial regions in Fortuna and Lucky's original home. It was a coonka tribe in Telon that Lucky was born into and who taught him how to be a thief, and it's where his family still resides, and the inventor would even first cut his teeth with business in the nearby city of Enezenn. It was also in Dirys, specifically Teche, where Lucky would be mentored by the industrialist Alban von Wechsler and first find his passion for gunpowder technology and develop the prototype for his revolving gun design. Despite such memories, however, Lucky has for the most part avoided returning to Dirys since splitting ways with von Wechsler. Mostly since leaving the man's workshop literally in flames has made the region somewhat dangerous to be in. - Artavia
The floating nation of Artavia is where Lucky first really attempted to demonstrate his revolving gun technology, after taking part in a competition for designing a new type of cannon for Artavian airships. The prototype revolving cannon malfunctioned, however, and the subsequent fiasco ended up with a shot nearly hitting the Minister of Artavia, and Lucky being accused of attempted assassination. Imprisoned and nearly executed, the coonka only escaped the nation by stealing an airship from one of its smuggling ports, and the inventor is still wanted and essentially banned from entering Artavia. - The Dragonfly
The Dragonfly is an airship stolen by Lucky from an Artavian smuggling port while making his escape to freedom. Since then it has largely operated as the coonka's residence and primary means of transportation. A small, single-masted vessel, the inventor has learned how to sail the Dragonfly on his own and has made a number of changes and improvements over the years, especially following the formation of Fortune Exploration. Now his home, workshop, and armed with a collection of inventions and devices useful for treasure hunting and exploration, the Dragonfly has become one of Lucky's pride and joys, as well as a symbolic step in his drive for fame and fortune. - Lismore, Submiere
A relatively recent real estate expansion by Lucky, the large village of Lismore is home to the Dragon's Hoard, an antique store that doubles as the headquarters for his treasure hunting company Fortune Exploration. The building itself is a modest two-floor structure. The bottom floor is dominated by the store itself which sells many of the less valuable and more mundane finds that Lucky comes across in his travels, while the top floor consists of a small suite that the coonka seldom inhabits. Since the treasure hunter is on the Dragonfly for the vast majority of the time the Dragon's Hoard is run and maintained instead by a single employee, Braelyn Atwood.
People
- Alban von Wechsler
A human man and industrialist from Dirys, as well as Lucky's mentor. It was von Wechsler who taught the coonka everything about business and money, and it was in von Wechsler's workshop where Lucky taught himself how to invent, along with discovering a passion for gunpowder technology and creating his first prototype revolving gun design. At one point Lucky greatly looked up to von Wechsler and admired the man, but their relationship considerably soured after the coonka realized the man was cheating him. In the end Lucky split ways with the industrialist after suspecting the man was attempting to steal his gun design and after von Wechsler all but admitted he had no faith or respect for a coonka businessman, but not before stealing a large portion of the man's money and setting fire to his workshop. Now undoubtedly an enemy to Lucky, it is because of von Wechsler that the coonka has yet to return to Dirys, and proving the man wrong has become one of Lucky's chief motivations in life. - Telon Tribe
A tribe of coonka thieves which inhabit the poor slums of Telon in Dirys and the one to which Lucky formerly belonged to. It's here that his father and mother, Bone and Wisp, and his two older sisters, Shadow and Ember, still live. Not that Lucky really cares. The inventor has long since abandoned his family and people, and even now holds a certain disdain for them after suddenly leaving to make his fortune. To him they exist as only thugs and low lives and a representation of all the prejudices that Lucky has tried so hard to leave behind. - Nuada Ua Ghrian
The monster hunter Nuada Ua Ghrian once saved Lucky from a tight spot while treasure hunting, and since then the two have formed a kind of friendship. In return for his aid the coonka created a number of unique weapons for the hunter, and whenever the two meet they have a tendency to partner up, even if only for a time. Still, Nuada has proven a welcome companion at times for Lucky, especially in a world where the coonka often seems to have more enemies than friends.
- Nuada Ua Ghrian - Braelyn Atwood
Speaking of friends, Lucky has about one other one aside from Nuada: his employee Braelyn Atwood. A female halfling, Braelyn operates the Dragon's Hoard in the coonka's (frequent) absence. For this reason "friend" may be a strong word, given that Lucky keeps her fed and off the streets, but with how often the halfling has to deal with late payments from her employer and threatening letters sent to Lucky's only known address, the fact she sticks around is a great testament to at least her tolerance for the treasure hunter. Braelyn does have a great interest in history and antiques, however, and has done wonders for improving the look and function of the Dragon's Hoard. That, and the coonka would be lying if he claimed that the girl's bubbling enthusiasm was not a welcome sight the few times he is in Lismore.
Objects
- Revolver
Lucky's primary means of defense and his pride and joy is his revolver. The latest prototype of his revolving gun design, the weapon is one way the coonka hopes to make his fame and fortune in the world, though he has yet to fully unveil the technology.
