Edgar was raised entirely to become his father’s heir, a role that he is happy to serve. Whether this is because his father insisted upon it or if Edgar truly enjoys it, none can truly know, and Edgar himself hardly sees any difference between the two notions. He was born into Sector A of Dirys, after all. If the gods did not wish for him to be born into prosperity, then he would have either been born into the lesser sectors of Dirys, or he would have simply never been born at all. The Vanros family is destined for nobility, or so Edgar believes, and he hopes to ensure that by either marrying into a noble family, or produce his own heir who may do the same. Until then, Edgar aims to further embolden Sector’s A dominance across Dirys, and he will begin by bleeding Sector D until it runs dry.

[attr="class","appheading"]APPEARANCE
[attr="class","appcontainer"]
Edgar makes very few public appearances beyond acting as a regular host of Sector A’s Masquerade Balls, where his eyes are often covered by a golden mask. His hair is perfectly slicked back, and he wears a pristine white suit. Edgar has much to do before he can bend the sectors to his whims, but he has no qualms about dressing as though he had already won.

[attr="class","appheading"]HISTORY
[attr="class","appcontainer"]
Edgar was born as the eldest child of Zota Vanros, a high-ranking member of the Kross Mining Company. Zota sought to keep his own family within the good graces of Senator Kornelius Kross, so when Kornelius began to found the Kross Rail Company, Zota urged Edgar to join the company. Ever one to please his father, Edgar accepted, even though he did not have a true passion for engineering. Nevertheless, he came to learn the skills that were to be expected of him. Though Edgar sees his position at the Kross Rail Company as merely a means to an end, he is no slouch, and will perform his duties without hesitation, even if he has no desire to be under the thumb of Kornelius Kross for the remainder of his life.[break][break]
Of course, being the eldest son to a man with ambition carries a heavy burden. His sister Nicole is not as interested in fulfilling their father’s ambitions, and his brother Zechariah is either secretly unpredictable or simply boring, or as Edgar would simplify both possibilities, useless. Though Zota is not so open with his impatience, Edgar suspects that his father yearns for a grandchild, and Edgar would be happy to provide him with one. Of course, he could not simply settle for anyone to bear his own child. To expedite his search, Edgar has assumed the role of host for many of Sector A’s daily Masquerade Balls. There he has found many women who have followed him to his bed, but pleasure can be fleeting. Many of his colleagues also keep close to him, hoping that he would find someone for them.[break][break]
Though Edgar would never admit to it, he often contracts people who lead services in Sector D’s city of Telon. Many women who find themselves trapped within Telon’s sex trades are often brought to Sector A, their owners given special permission from Edgar to enter the city of Dimant. Perhaps the women expect a chance for freedom, to escape their misery? Edgar is willing to play to their fantasies, but alas, they would be lucky for Edgar to so much as even consider them a commoner. If anything, it is but another gambit to him. Perhaps a young noblewoman could be enthralled by the stories of Edgar Vanros, taking pity on the young women of Telon? Truly, Edgar Vanros must be a paragon of chivalry.

[attr="class","appheading"]ABILITIES
[attr="class","appcontainer"]
[attr="class","appability"]➢ Engineer[break]
Throughout his time at the Kross Rail Company, Edgar has acquired the strength and skills necessary to aid in the construction of the railway that spans the whole of Acheron. His hands are also steady, but firm, allowing him to be strong in hand-to-hand combat, as well as wielding heavy weapons.
[break][break]
[attr="class","appability"]➢ Wealth[break]
Though not a proper noble in name, Edgar has accrued a considerable amount of wealth, bribing his way into assuming control of the Masquerade Ballroom. Many actual nobles also rely on Edgar as a source of funds, either because they are too selfish to risk actually spending their own money, or perhaps because they are not as rich as they claim to be.
