Welcome to the world of Fortuna, a land of fantastic proportions. This is an original fantasy roleplay that takes place in a world developed over nearly a decade of work and collaboration. We aim to encourage all participants to have a hand in the stories of the characters here, and the world around them. Your choices are key - so make them with pride. You decide who wins the wars, you decide who becomes King, the world is ours, and together we will bring it to life!
In this game, you'll be posed a question - which you should answer as one of your characters! Once you've answered it, ask another question for the next person to reply.
First question: What are you superficially afraid of? (ie, something that's not likely to kill you, or ruin your life, but that spooks you)

"Well if you must know, I can't stand Avalonk. They nauseate me, and are extremely offputting. I'd hesitate to call them creepy, but..."
He shudders.
"Fine, they're creepy."
"Now, tell me. If you could wish for anything small right at this moment - nothing that would change the world or drastically affect a life, mind you - what would it be?"

Tom pauses for a moment at the question. The caveats made it more difficult, as it seemed that all he wanted were things that would drastically affect others. He smiled as he realized what he could demand, however. "Simple," His smile was toothy, "I would want a list of current locations for my Acacia subjects."
"Out of curiosity... If you could control another person, completely, who would you control - and for what purpose?"

"Well.. assuming I could find the person or people who kidnapped the younglings of my tribe, and assuming the younglings weren't there with them, I would want to control one of the kidnappers and make them tell me where they are. Or even better, make them find them and bring them back for me. And then I don't know. I shouldn't wish this on anyone, but after I got the younglings back I would want him to kill himself, and anyone else involved."
If you had to change your race to another one, which would you choose and why?

"Such a thing would never interest me," Woodrow scoffed. The question was repeated - had being emphasized more strictly. He rolled his eyes and thought on it for a moment. "I suppose perhaps a Sunborn, as it would describe my destiny and ideals with grace. A born leader. A bringer of truth. A paragon of justice, in a way. It would feel strange not to stand for the Great Deity Moann, however, so I doubt Sriae would permit my soul to live out her desires."
You are on a sinking ship, which contains survival equipment, food, people you know and love, objects that are of great importance to you, and weapons. You only have time to gather three items or people. What do you take?

Hmmm... Questions...
N ow there was an interesting quandry... And rather limiting. A sinking ship with only time to gather three things? Honestly that was kind of stupid; whoever thought you'd only have time to save three things off of a sinking ship had never lived a proper life on the sea. One had to be better prepared for such things~
Still, Maldrem decided he'd entertain the question. "Well, if given only such a strictly limited number of things to save... Probably just my top three crew mates! They're important people to me, after all, and good people you can trust are pretty hard to come by..."
Besides! They could each probably save three things too, and thus could hold Maldrem's stuff. He smirked.
"So I'm interested! Describe your ideal physical type to me. I wanna know what you're into." He winked.
"What am I into?" The fire-touched rested his chin in his hands, amusement curling the corners of his lips.
"I can't say that I have an ideal physical type. I like variety too much. But I do have a weakness for clever hands and dangerous eyes." He left it at that- they could draw their own conclusions.
"If someone wrote a song about you, what would it be called?"

"No need to be such a flatterer for me, darling," Violet shook her head, obviously not flattered so much as a little surprised, "I'm not a part of the stories I tell, no matter what that silly centaur tries to tell you. A song about a reporter... Well that just sounds like a snooze in a mattress store, doesn't it?"
As no one breaks the silence, she sighs and assents to an answer, "Fine, I suppose if we're merely jabbering about with hypotheticals... I suppose it might be called something like 'A Quill of Quandurous Quackery'. I'd like it to be silly, and to make no sense at all. I don't really need such a thing to come back and identify me later."
Finally having her answer accepted, her eyes flared to life with the ability to ask anything she wanted. She placed a hand on her chin as she thought, and mindlessly transmuted her quill into varying types of feathers. It stopped as she finally settled on an idea: "What one secret - true or false - could have the potential to ruin you?"
Post by Kikuriku Gouken on Jan 4, 2017 17:06:57 GMT -7
Kikuriku appeared in the void that so many before him seemed to be enjoying. He wasn't sure where he was, but he was certain that he was in a dream, and that he had no business questioning much of anything - except for the other spirits who were in this dream with him.
I mean, they're all asking questions, why can't I? "Firstly, let me just say that a snooze in a mattress store almost sounds delightful so I have no idea what that other lady is talking about. But to answer her question, what secret would ruin me? It would obviously be the outrageously false secret that I, Kikuriku Gouken, lover de extraordinaire and wooer of many, many, many, many females was actually a... a.... virgin. I've never been with anyone in that way.
Hypothetically. Falsely hypothetically, in terms of the question that was asked. I'm dreaming, it's okay."
As he answered the question, he felt a block lifted. It was now his turn to ask the question and make everyone forget how awkward he had just made things.
"If you were in front of a burning building with Elias Harel and Markus Woodrow trapped inside, and there wasenough time to save one of them, how many s'mores do you think you could roast before you got full?"
Apparently, that question wasn't appropriate - he was still in this dream. This game wasn't as fun as he'd thought it was going to be.
"Fine, fine. Would you rather be in the world all alone, or in the world surrounded by people that bothered you? Not that you hated... just that really made you want to punch a baby."
"I am already in a world surrounded by people who bother me, child. I would prefer to be alone, however I require them to feed," Sabela replied, her eyes flashing red under the shadow of her hood. "And Elias Harel would be interested to hear of your opinions of him, I'm sure."

Given the possibility, would you either be a master of one type of magic, or mediocrely proficient in all types?
